Your first draft script, no matter how good, will always benefit from feedback. That’s why Baggage wants to help you get your script to the next draft – Draft V2 (or V3 or V4… you get the picture).

In 2026 we want to gather people together to read unproduced scripts, giving writers the opportunity to hear their words brought to life by experienced actors, and hear constructive feedback.

After that… who knows where the next draft of your script might take you! We will be on the lookout for scripts to potentially take into full production in 2027.

Key info:
● Inviting women to submit unproduced scripts for plays with an estimated length between 45-80 minutes
● Preference given to female-led narratives
● Scripts will be read by a panel of experienced writers and theatre makers
● The panel will select scripts for rehearsed readings in 2026
● Written feedback offered on request
● Submission fee $20 per script, non-refundable – fees will help us pay our reading panel for their time
